I've been working on this for a while. It's not very well planned and there are still gaps to fill in. It's worthwhile remembering that this is only a 20cm telescope so it does show the detail that can be extracted.
Cheers

That image has superb texture and dimension. Absolutely stunning from an 8" scope.

Thanks Rick. So far it's 5 panels. Should have been 4 but I got careless.

Coming on really nicely Steve. Great detail, but dont forget the colour, which unfortunately, is just red! (unless you do tri-colour NB of course)
cheers

Thanks Martin. Not sure about colour yet as I'm starting to feel the urge to move on to something else. Actually I thought there was a bit of H beta in this thing. A H Beta filter is recommended for visual observation.

That's looking terrific Steve. Like it a lot.
The high dynamic range is somthing I've not seen done to this object - at least to this extent. Fine work indeed.

Very nice job indeed Steve - lots & lots of work in that!
The reds and pinks in this object rendered with the good dynamic range & detail of this shot would be very pretty IMO. Even more work though! :)

Wow, that looks great Steve, reminds me of a detailed pencil rubbing, like the relief filter in PS, very cool look. I like it as B&W too.

I'd say for a 20cm telescope the detail is extra-ordinary. Lovely three dimensional feel to the image. Are you going to do a full NB versions?

Thanks Paul. Unfortunately no. Dean's filter wheel does not have SII and OIII. Will probably try for RGB though.
