A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the northeastern coast of Japan (http://www.reuters.com/places/japan) on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake was centered 96 km (60 miles) east-northeast off Miyako at a depth of 9.7 km (6.0 miles).
The was no immediate tsunami warning issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Its never ending for the Japanese. They must be very nervous.

Cheers

The 6.2 at 08:21:45 AEST will probably be counted as an aftershock, even thought it is bigger that the first quake. There was a 5.2 at 04:40:52 AEST. There was another 5.1 at 08:55:51 AEST. (I only get notifications for mag 5 and above.)

Columbia had the biggest so far this week. They got a 7.1 at 02:31:34 AEST on Monday 1st, 345 km NE of Quito.
