Periods of good seeing on this day. Spicules can be seen on the limb and detail overall I think is quite good but there are flaws that need to be sorted. I should perhaps use the prom data and mask that in for a more complete image.
Overall probably my best to date. Equipment sure does make an impact.

I will post a 3x image once I have it processed.

For those that only like mono images, here it is in monochrome.

That is a very good image Paul with lovely detail that is more apparent without the colour distraction. Coming along nicely indeed and agree with your comments about overall prgress.

A great image Paul, superb detail. I think you are right, with that level of detail and contrast, it could handle more distinct prominences without looking fake.

An exemplary image Paul.
Also, despite your teething problems, re-affirms my opinion that the Lunt 80 is probably the best Bang-for-Buck in the current market.
It would be very hard to churn out anything much better as I think you've hit the "seeing" stop.
Nicely done :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Here is a 5x image of the active region. The seeing was pretty good and interesting detail can be seen within the region. Shot at 2800mm.
