Interesting concept. If time ends then this keeps time ...

Frank Wilczek is brilliant, listening to him talk is almost like hearing him think in slow motion, he's got a kind of 'Willy Wonka' charm. I can't get my head around the whole "outside space, after time, south of the south pole" kind of mentality though:sadeyes:.

Is the maths from this part of the vindication of the Higg's Field? Using quantum events to control inertial reference sounds suspiciously close to unifying spacetime with quantum mechanics.

What does it keep time in relation with though? Could it be used to measure the 'gamma' deviation of astronauts in orbit or give us a better understanding of gravitational lensing?

Sorry, I have a habit of thinking out loud :screwy:

I can't help thinking 'all good, until the cleaner pulls the power cord out'

Still doesn't explain the existence of daylight savings time.

Time is just the rate of interaction of real particles. When the interaction stops time has no meaning. Even this mythical clock will cease to exist when all fundamental particles decay into energy. Bert
