Hi all, after having spent almost month away (mostly enjoying holidays :D) I am eventually back again to this forum. I have just uploaded a new image, centered on the dusty area of Corona Australis, and in particular on the nebula complex NGC 6726/7/9 and globular cluster NGC6723. The link:

Corona Australis (http://www.glitteringlights.com/Images/deepsky/13667287_7Mtr58#!i=2022967990&k=sCZdbtC&lb=1&s=X3)

The full resolution version shows quite well the different dust clouds of the area that extend well beyond the field of view of this image. I found this patch of sky very interesting.

A total exposure of about 16 hours with LRGB filters, from Coona as usual..

I hope you will enjoy the image

Hello Marco and welcome back from your holiday. Congratulations for this beautiful image, you've made a great processing on dust and reflections. It 's really a pleasure for the eyes. I tried a few poses here but ... I gave up ... too low, it is time to dust even from us ...

All the best,
Leo

That's very deep. Love the color saturation and the starry background. Expertly processed. Top shelf.

This is my favourite dark/reflection nebula in the S Hemis with the globular like a celebratory firework. A fine image indeed.

That's a beautiful rendition Marco! Great depth & clarity! I wonder whether you could get bit more vibrancy in the star colours though?

Cheers, Marcus

That's so nice I would love to have seen a mosaic with 4 frames
to get an even greater view of that area of the sky.
Beautiful picture.

Thanks Allan! A mosaic of 4 images would have lasted.. yek! 32 hours.. maybe next year ;)

Thanks Steve, happy to read that, the variations of intensity of light on the dust is amazing in this object, it really look "thick" in certain points :)

Cheers

Awesome image Marco, lots of detail, and there are even a couple of background galaxies too in this crowded field. Congratulations on your APOD!
This is an area I would like to image too, hopefully next season.
