Banking Information

I went to my bank today to report loss of credit card. No problem, however the very helpful lass fixing it up for me looked at my savings A/C (linked) and informed me that as I was a pensioner I was entitled to a fee free and interest bearing account. My savings account has now been set this way.

I have been banking with this bank for over 70 years and this is the first I have heard of this type of account.

If you are a pensioner check your account type you may be getting seen off.

I recently semi-retired and got a part aged pension. My bank told me the same thing. They didn't need to change the account number-just the type of account. apparently if your pension is paid into the account, there are no fees.

No
I think you need to have your OAP paid into the bank.

However you don't need a full pension so make sure that when you reach 65 you check that you are at least eligible for a part pension
