Here's another 30 minute with the D800 and FSQ106 from last weekend of the Veil nebula in Cygnus. I'm quite taken with the filamentary structure of the Witch's Broom - it's amazing (to me anyway) to consider the delicate nature of the structure in comparison to the forces that created it.

Andrew,

That's a very nice widefield! You're right too when you suggest how delicate these objects look considering how they were created. What gets me is the sheers scale of these wonders - just amazing.

Cheers,
Mario

That's remarkable. Its really showing off the 36mp. Look at how tiny those stars are and how the structure is really detailed.

Fantastic.

Another similar target when its next up would be the Vela Supernova remnant.

Thanks again for the feedback - the credit pretty much lies with the Nikon, Sony and Takahashi engineers!
I did notice the amazing similarity between the colour and structure of the Vela remnant in today's APOD. It's definitely on the list for summer!
Cheers,
Andrew.
