Thought you might enjoy a couple of these taken while James (Moon) was commissioning our new astrophotography observatory at the ASV's Leon Mow Dark Sky Site during the 'Galactic Centre Star Party' last night.

Caught a nice bright meteor during a timelapse test too but had some issues with motion control (panning too fast among other things) so the stars are unfortunately doubled up.

Lovely Phil, love the first one!

Where's the timelapse? :)

What gear/settings did you use for these?

thanks Mike.

All with Canon 5DMKII

1 14mm lens, 2min, f2.8, ISO1600 (with Polarie)
2 14mm lens, 5min, f3.5, ISO800 (with Polarie)
3 14mm lens, 30 sec, f2.8, ISO3200
4 24mm lens, 15 secs, f1.4, ISO1600

Timelapse was just testing a new iteration of fred's gear from a different location and didn't work out all that well (got cloudy and boring among other things).

cheers
Phil
