6:45pm East to NW-lovely green/blue & orange fireball. Moved across 3/4 of the sky. Anyone else see it?

On holiday up here at the coast and that just made it all that much sweeter!!!

Bugger... missed it... I make excuses to walk the dog at night just to eyeball the sky...

I live in rouse hill and spotted it across part of the sky. Had the scope setup for a later evening session and just told my little 4yo girl there wasn't much to see at the moment. She just went inside when I spotted it to the north. Just started to change colour when it went behind another house. She was so upset she missed it.

Hey Brett, I used to live in Rouse Hill years ago, running a horse stud "CADN Farm" just up from the Rouse Hill pub. :)

We are at ASNSW Wiruna and Ross G saw it, I was too busy looking at my computer drift aligning and don't notice it. Ross came over and said "did you just see test fireball?"

A few of us saw it from the Pony Club.
Hilight of the night.

One day I'll see one of these. The number of hours I spend outside in the dark! You'd think just one!

You have to look at the sky, and not a computer screen to see one of those. That's why I missed it. :screwy:

Mind you, I caught one across 2 images 2 years ago when I was doing a milkyway widefield. Started halfway through one and finished halfway across the 2nd, ruined 2 frames it was so bright.

Yep, I saw it from here in Belrose, it was fantastic. My wife was with me but looking in the wrong direction and missed it even though I was yelling like an idiot ! Poor thing, she always misses them.....

Cheers,
Jason.
