Hi folks,

I love the Helix Nebula, such a huge PN. So I can try to capture it also with my small 80/480 APO. But it is very close to horizon.

I did it from my balcony, some nights. So I captured 23x600s Ha, 15x600s L and 5x600s for every channel in RGB.

My colour result:

and only Halpha:

That's a great result this close to the horizon, and from a balcony too!

You're giving me hope for my attempt at Andromeda which to me appears very close to the horizon and needs to be taken from a balcony. :)

Wow Werner!!

That's impressive work, full moon and light pollution too.

Great job!

Cheers,

Justin.

Very nicely done Werner - especially working at such a low altitude!

I've just finished shooting the Dumbbell from Sydney so I know how hard low altitude work is if you want a good result!

Cheers, Marcus
