Thanks for the link Aidan, a very interesting article.

It's really amazing how far the Voyagers have travelled, I'll be interested to see what sort of data comes back after they leave the protective bubble.

I have been following the exploits of Voyager for many years now. I was a kid when she beamed those incredible images of Jupiter back to Earth in the 70's.

It literally sends shivers down my spine to realise where Voyager 1 is now and that the spaceprobe may enter interstellar space soon.

It also puts into some perspective the distances involved.

More than three decades to travel to the edge. Yet hardly any closer to any stars. Let alone inter-galactic distances. Wow! It is truly amazing. How can it be made possible to reach the stars?:shrug:
