I just fixed an older PS3 that I bought untested for $5 when I powered it up It shut down and did three beeps and flashing red light. After some googling I found a YouTube vid showing a guy fixing it using a hair dryer to heat up the GPU and the CPU to allow the solder to reflow and fix the dry joints well it works I now have a working PS3.:D:thumbsup:

Probably not gonna last more than a few months. duration gets shorter and shorter every time you reheat it. That is what I experienced but I hope yours last longer.
