I think I am slowly getting the hang of this it’s a bit better than my 1st attempt.
Milky Way Galaxy
20 X 30 sec subs at ISO 1600
1 dark and 1 flat frame
Sony Nex-3 Camera 18-55 lens
Stacked in DSS

Very nice. Mine are about the same. I have found you need many darks., Very good tutorial on the dss site regarding that and they say as many darks as lights is best.

looks good Wayne. It's amazing what the camera will pick up. So many stars etc:thumbsup:

Thanks steve and thanks rolls, i am really enjoying learning to use the camera and processing techniques, there is so much to learn.
Impessive. I am just beginning my astrophoto, learning first steps. ISO and other information with the picture is helpful, now that I am planning to take my my first photographs.

Thanks mike and timo, yes timo its great that so many who post photos on this site add the details of iso and exposure this has been very helpful for me also. After stacking all those shots i still needed to spent some time processing in software to get it to look right.
