Here's my Transit of Venus picture, and didn't know there was
a plane in it until I opened the thumbnail.

That's a great shot! One of the better T of V images I've seen.

It was a Canon Rebel T2i, with a Kenko (35mm type) 420mm - 800mm
zoom lens, with a Baadar solar film filter: since it was at a high shutter
speed I think fast at 1/4000th (and 100 ISO) I only used a tripod instead of
tracking mount. And I was just lucky.
Now all we need are some good comets, like Hale-Bopp was in the 90's.

Great shot--APOD material. Only problem is the colour--Venus and the plane should be black.
