Set up after work took a few avis then went off to do other things while leaving the scope out.Came back after an hour and noticed the Prom changing so snapped away intermittently till the trees ended the session. These are with the Lunt100SS and Gstarex camera with an Orion 3x multi element Barlow. I must say I am impressed with this Barlow for Solar imaging. All others I have tried have internal reflections somewhere.

Nice work Derek, my favorite Solar feature, some amazing detail there.

Begs for an animation. Lovely shots.
I can lend you some rings if you feel they are needed, I always seem to strike them with the 2.5x PowerMate, and I see Paul H had them as well, makes me feel better. Happy to share them round though.

Very good sequence - proms are becoming interesting to me now.......maybe because I have finally been able to image them!

Thanks all. Matt with your 80mm you should be able to get some very good prom shots.Just a matter of playing with your camera settings. With mine I have gamma high(only 2 settings )and shutter speed at lower settings.

Thanks Trevor I must admit the reason I got the Lunt 100 was to use its <0.8A bandwith to capture Prominences.Another option may be to get a 0.8A daystar unit and mount it on a 127mm APO.Similar to Fernando but he uses 0.4A.
