Hi all. I had another go at these, recombined and a slightly different blend to try and eliminate some of the pinkeye I seemed to have going in the first batch. Such a fine line sometimes, it seems. Anyway, I like this result better, sooooo many little galaxies in the Grus arm. Details: Grus quartet-LRGB 180,90,90,90. NGC 300-LRGB 210,90,90,90. 10 min subs 1x1. Thanks for looking:) Full res link NGC 300 http://www.pbase.com/darr3ll/image/145653751

I love the NGC 300. The star formation regions really stand out

Yes, these are unusually good galaxy images. Love the colours and star clouds you've brought out. I'm a sucker for blue coming through in galaxies - not easy to do anywhere near a city.

Nice sharp images with a lot of depth and good colour variation in the stars. I wouldn't have thought you'd get much from the Grus galaxies at this focal length but this is a very pleasing result. Love the detail in the tiny background galaxies. You've inspired me to try some unbinned LRGBs with my scope. Can I suggest you could try bringing up the background sky level a bit - both are a little clipped at the black end of the histogram.

Hi Graeme, busted my blackpoint:lol:!Was a tradeoff between some annoying noise and a smoother looking end result. Need more cooling or better processing skills...probably both:rolleyes: This TSA has beautiful optics, supprised me too. :)

:) Stunning work.
Lovely captures Darrell
The Grus quartet has some great detail in those galaxies.

Very nice and love the round stars!
The first one has a touch too much magenta. I suggest selective colour and handle the magentas. Same with 2nd shot but less so.
Lots of great detail there. Overall very nice.
Greg.
