I don't know what came over me - one moment I was tweaking all the new bits on my 10", and the next thing I remember was installing registax!

Anyway, humble beginnings etc.

An imaging shocker?

Now I'm really depressed. That looks like a lot of my images:lol:

So, I'm compelled to describe that as "not too bad"????

I used a ToUCam with a cheapo GSO 2" barlow on my 10" and took a minute of footage of which I used only about 30 frames (out of 200) to process in registax. The seeing was pretty poor, and the transparency wasn't exactly brilliant either! I didn't pay much attention to the actual camera or regitstax settings.

On the plus side, my scope is collimated and aligned to (near) perfection at the moment, the HEQ5 is very stable on it's pier and the GSO dual speed crayford I've just fitted is fantastic.

I feel a 5x powermate is nudging it's way onto my shopping list ...

hey astro, great start, i assume you have tracking, cos if you have, then the 5x powermate is worth the $$.

if no tracking, i estimate you will have 3 seconds to try and capture frames as it runs across the screen
