Hi all,
I am really impressed with the initial results of my PST mod. There are some ways to go until I consider the mod complete, but I feel it is exciting enough to share. I took my first time lapse with this rig also today, and it looks just the same as the affixed image apart from the fact there is movement there.

I really look forward to using this telescope more!

Very nice indeed!

I wish I had the know-how and the guts to mod my PST 40mm.

Keep it up, I'm looking forward to seeing more images and improvements as your project comes along :2thumbs:

Carlos,
I have a PST Mod write up which covers the Stage 1 (keep the black box) and Stage 2 (dump the black box).
Pm me an email address for a copy.
So far some 90+ amateurs have successfully carried out the PST mod.
Well worth considering.

Trent,
Looks like you're off to a great start...just double check that "majic" 200mm positioning....
Well done!

G'day Ken,
I repositioned of the etalon by about 20mm upon and the image appears a little "clearer".

And thanks for the comment Carlos!

Trent,
The front barlow element is a -200mm lens - this is definately the optimised position for the etalon. Guaranteed.
