The sun rises over East Beach at Cape Leveque (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/tag/cape-leveque), creating beautiful shadows in the ripples of the sand dunes. The dawn of another perfect day in the Kimberley (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/tag/kimberley).
Our photography group headed down to East Beach early on day 3 of our Kimberley tour, ready for the sunrise. The bright planets Venus and Jupiter met us when we arrived, while the temperature was still quite cool.
It warmed up quickly though, especially as we rushed from ripple to rock, trying to find the best composition while lugging my 7+ kg of camera gear and tripod around.

This image is a 3 frame panorama, taken with a Canon 5D Mk 2 and 17-40mm lens, f/11, ISO640, 1/50s exposures.
Thanks for looking.
