SPX350 F4.5, ATIK314L+, Baader RGB.

A quick image to test my upgraded ATK-16HR to a 314L+ with the old sensor in a new camera body now works as good as new. The old CCD had the sensor not flat and had bright lines and vertical lines on the narrowband images but this is now gone with the old sensor in a new body now collimates much better.

M15 has a PN called Pease1 daimeter 1" near the core discovered in 1928 by Francis Pease at mag 15.5.

In RGB (seeing mediocre) it appears blue but when taken back in 2008 using the Mintron and Ha 12nm added to red in HaRGB it shines a pink colour with Astronomik filters. In the 2008 Mintron image taken back in the UK the collimation was poor but seeing good.

ATIK 314L+
RGB=12x3min each.

Sorry John, I'm lost....

Is it the first photo that was taken with the new camera?

If so, where is the PN?

I assume the second and third are from the 16HR from 2008?

Or have I got it all wrong?

Nicely done John. I've often intended to this myself some time. A really good way to get the planetary to stand out apparently is to take some Ha.

Chris this is with the new 314 but it has my old sensor inside from the 16HR and performs like new - seen in 1st and 2nd images, the Mintron (GStar-Ex) CCTV image was taken back in Oct 2008 at longer FL.

The second image marks the PN but it is drowned out in the 1st image as it is close to the core.

Good to see something different John.
I remember an image taken by Stan Moore a few years ago using a Ha filter.

Nice work John. That is one tough object to image. I can barely make out the PN in the images.
