Hello everyone!

Well I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread but as it involves my images I thought it was the best spot.

Having noted on a reply from Paula that she had a Wix website I thought it would be neat to have one of my own. This way I could keep all my images in a format that I could change around whenever the mood took me.

So without further ado, here is my website containing all my better images...

Cheers,
Mario

Nice site but I couldn't see large size pics.
I have a 27" monitor so I love 1920×1080 full size pics.

Allan,

When you clicked on the small thumbnails what size did the images become?

Cheers,
Mario

They are only tiny 83K images covering less than 1/4 of my screen.

Very nice. I had no problem with the full screen viewing at a decent resolution alpal, could it be your browser?

Mario is that a template that comes from wix? It looks very schmick.

Nice design Mario. Images stretches to the screen resolution, so size depends on each observer. To take advantage of the full screen it is necessary to hit F11 key. Pity one cannot magnify even further but I am not sure what is the original image resolution you posted online..

I'm not sure why you're having a problem....

Thanks - there's a heap of different templates which can then be modified even further. It really is a fantastic little service and I have trouble understanding how it can be free...

Marco, Grazie mille! Most of the images are 1000x750 although some are 1200x900 - I'll have to try the F11 key...

I tried it on another computer - just the same.

Yes you can expand it using F11 & ctrl + but
it's still only an 83K version of any of your photos
so there is no actual fine resolution.

same here - I can only see a postage stamp version.

They are small images to start with but there is a size limit (2.5 Mb/image I think) and hence why I used smaller images. I also saw that you can't expand them any bigger than your screen. The plus side is that my images look better at this scale!!

A thought, do you get the large images that you can scroll through - arrows either side of the image?

Allan, did you click on the image and do you have flash installed as this may be a problem as the site needs it?

Actually it looks more like HTML5 and scripting functions similar to JQuery. There's no flash on your site.

OK, I must have hit the html5 button instead of flash.... I meant that you know!!

Nice Mario, easy to navigate and seems intuitive?

While it leaves the viewer with a slight sense of "I want to see more"... having modest size images makes them look good and hides the warts and that's not such a bad thing after all

Yep, good one Mario except I didn't get any of the thumbnail images load just black squares.
The links to the main images worked fine though.

May have a look at one of these sites myself as I just lost my site I had when I moved ISP's from TPG to Telstra.
TPG gave you space for free but good old Telstra want more money for space on their server :mad2:

Yes you can scroll throgh the images.
I still only get 83K of data if I right click properties & check it.
That is a very small amount of data -
less than Ice in Space gives you for an image on their page.

I can get large - over 1 MByte frames for free on flickr & photobucket.

Same problem here, Mario.
Nice site but can't see the thumbnails, just black squares.

I'm not sure how to fix the "black thumbnail" problem. Wix help says to clear the browser's cache and cookies but there's about 3 pages of Wix forum pages with people complaining that that doesn't fix the problem.

As for the image size, I'm not too concerned as this site is meant to be an easy place for friends and family to see my images. They don't have to be high-res, just pretty!!

Nice site. I like the template. Easy to nav and very slick looking.
