I took this with the Canon 1.4 50mm lens the other night, who wants to help me identify everything in it :)

I can see a few things, but without trying to rely solely on maps/stellarium, I'm confusing myself.

Find it here (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v152/jonrocks/Astrophotography/?action=view&current=widefeld1_proc.jpg)

Geoff,

Thanks but I have plenty of charts and planetarium software, I am trying to learn it from memory and want ppl to point things out from memory themselves rather than refer to a chart. Admittedly, I wasn't very clear on this (or at all really) haha.

I went through this exercise only yesterday. Same field of view.

M7 M8 M18 M20 M22 M23 and M25 are the ones I can remember. And I see 3 stars belonging to Sagittarius.

I think you will find that your picture is pretty much this FOV, the bright neb on the left is M8 and just to the right of that M20 is visible. Then where you have labeled M20 is the eagle and omega nebs.
