this is made up of 46 x 1 min shots unguided on the polarie with the 50mm lens on the unmodded 60D - now if this was the 60Da? ISO 1600 f 4.5- very quick stack and muck about

David the repro is good, you've got the contrast to 'pop' just right,
but I would have loved if you could recover some of the original colour range and those subtle hues back in.

It really is a lovely FOV.

Great image Dave, sorry I missed this the first time around.

Shows how the polarie can be great for stacked medium-exposure shots too.

I agree with RB though, some of the colour in the stars from the first one would go better with the contrast and background colour of the second.

The repro is definitely better. It's a very nice image with just enough saturation for good star colour but not too much and seems crisper too. The meteor to the left of alpha cen adds a nice effect to the whole image too.

Cheers

Steve
