Howdy
Just processed this 6 inch F3.6 S.N shot taken last weekend.
It covers both the large nebula NGC 6188 in Norma and the ejection nebula NGC 6164-5 upper right side of image.
Its 4 x 5 mins ISO 400, with UHCS filter and MPCC coma corrector.

That is a stunning image Scott. Gee'ss breathless... colours came out really nice. The dark channels are precisely clear.

Thanks :)
And to think that without the 10 inch scope mirror being away getting recoated, I may never have got the 6 inch out and used it photographically.

Great shot Scott,NGC6164-65 is a Wolf-Rayet star, and according to Hartung could be interacting with NGC6188, your image shows that this may be the case.

thanks everyone.
Its cheating, I actually aquired the image before my liver biopsy, but only got a chance to process it when I did, weather has been horrible of late.
Hope to have the 10 inch up and running in a weeks time.

Scott,
Well Done. That is stunning. I wasn't even aware that this nebula existed!. Have you taken this object with an unmodified camera previously? I am just wondering if it is worth the effort with my stock 300D.

Yep sure have, heres NGC 6164-5 taken with my Unmodded 300D and 10 inch F5.6 scope http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/temp/NGC6164-65small.jpg
3x5 mins ISO 400 no filter
UHCS filtered version http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/baader/6164-5_filteredsmall.jpg 2x10 mins ISO 800
NGC 6188 http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/baader/NGC6188small.jpg
2x10mins ISO 1600 UHCS filter
Your rig will do well with both nebulae (probably wont be able to fit them in one frame though)
