A couple of weeks ago I posted an image of the Saturn nebula (NGC 7009) which was pretty much rubbish because of the conditions and I had to do a lot of processing to get just a barely acceptable image. Last night conditions were much better so did it again. I think this version is much better.

Beautiful close up image Steve! It must be very bright, there even seems to be diffraction spikes coming from the nebula :eyepop::lol:

Wow. That certainly seems to have better clarity/contrast than the previous version as I recall. Good stuff!

Thanks Rolf. Yes, this thing is really too bright for a sensitive CCD like the 6303. I probably should have done it in narrowband.

That's a strong signal and those ansae shine either side a lovely colour like beacons.
