Playing around with data from the past few nights and got me thinking.
At this time i am upping saturation a bit on my images to bring out star colors and nebula's.

I thought id ask others opinions on the following images.
- Stars too 'vibrant', or ok?
- nebula color too vivid or ok?
- Star brightness too low, too high or ok?
- blacks black enough or too grey?

Comments, suggestions or otherwise are welcome.

Cheers.

What a great set of images you have there. For me personally they are ideal. I like images to have boosted saturation to make the different coloured stars pop and like the background to be dark as they are in these images. I would be prod to call these images my own. The 3rd pic is a cracker. My favorite:thumbsup:
What equipment were these images captured on?

Nathan,

They look pretty good. It's very much a matter of personal taste but none of those images look way over the top.

Cheers,
Rick.

All were taken on a HEQ5, ED80 and QHY9 (mono), from my backyard.

I think i will try playing with saturation levels for stars only with a star map from now on. I think some stars saturation is a little overblown, especially in NGC55.
