I know that we are now all planning for a reunion night on the 15th September, but is anyone up for this month still, this Saturday?
Weather is looking promising and need a fix, and after the dreary days of late there should be plenty out there also needing to 'up scope'.

I have a new 50mm camera lens I want to try out under a dark sky so I will probably turn up.

If the clear sky holds out, then I'll be there.

Hey guys,
I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that I haven't even seen a cloud in the last 34 days.
Yes, thats right, since we left NSW.

Skies here are so clear.
Wish I had a telescope :(

Why didn't you take one? You could have mounted it on the roof...

I can not make it tomorrow night.
Looks like it will be clear but with a 20km/h westerly (cold!).
Have you worked out who has a key?
I think Shane has one on loan from Allan.
??

Have been watching the forecasts pretty regularly and at this stage it seems like there is going to be high winds and some cloud as well.
I think I will make a later decision about 3:30 and check back in.

Guys I'm out, it's blowing a gale, clouds horizon to horizon and cold !!!
I'm not willing to risk getting sick again just as I'm getting back on my feet.

Hope the weather does settle and clear for you, we'll catch up next time.

Hi all, I am needed at home tonight. Unfortunately things are a bit grim at my place.....my wife has a serious medical condition, and is looking at a second round of surgery this coming week. For those who make it there tonight, I hope you have a good one.

For those who couldn't make it to the PC tonight, this is what you missed.

I only stayed for an hour to test the new 50mm lens. This is a stack of 19 ten second frames taken on a tripod with a 450D and a Sigma 50mm F1.4.
Thanks Deeno for being there. Hope you have a great night!

....and I'm home....
Hate to say but, I've had a pretty good night.
Bit breezy to start, with the occasional gust of stiff breeze. the seeing was on the ordinary side for most of the night. Certainly a lot better than what I could of hoped for....and....everything is dry. No dew!

It was certainly a surprise to see someone else turn up. Must be pleased with the 50mm John....

When I left it was a balmy 7.1 degrees, 75% humidity and calm.

Sorry to read about your Aunt Geoff. Sounds like the end of an era.

And I'll be sparing a thought or two for your wife, Rod. I sincerely hope everything comes out OK.
