Hi,
Here's one I promised myself after seeing Paul Haese's image.

Imaged Sunday night after taking more data on NGC 5128. There is a total 70 minutes of data at iso 800. One sub is a single 35 minute exposure, a mistake! I hit the single frame button instead of the timer.
As it turned out the sub was useable and was used it in the combined image. It really needed it too, this DSO is damn faint at least in the tail of the hairy comet.

Oh, and can someone tell me why it's always nice and clear Sunday nights when you have to work the next day!!

Cheers,

Justin.

Hey Justin you can appreciate how faint it really is now. A good attempt.

Thanks Paul!

Don't know how you measure nebulosity in a magnitude scale, but it's way fainter than anything aorund the Horse head.

Still, I'm really seenig what the limits are on the unmodded Canon 1100D, of course unpolluted sky's help a lot.

Cheers,

Justin.

Bloody hell, that is a faint bugger.
I might have a go with the hyperstar, will be a good challenge.
