Berto Monard from South Africa has just discovered a 14.5 magnitude supernova in NGC1084 in Eridanus. The galaxy has had 4 previous Supernova in it making this one of few galaxies to now have 5 discoveries made. Details below are from the Bright Supernova page where an image of the galaxy and supernova can be found.

The latter 2 discoveries reached magnitude 14 so NGC1084 is well worth the larger scopes at Leyburn having an eyeball to see who can spot the new star.
