Desperate Jupiter

Seeing was 1/10 Jupiter magnitude 2-6. In other words I should have been doing something else. But when you are haveing a good time with fellow astronomers as you know the seeing conditions are not everything.

Yes drewl everyone I had the company of the Right Honourable Mr Asimov.

I don't mind taking the wooden spoon for the worst Neximage of Jupiter.

Yes, what a shocking night for anything astronomical. Better nights to come though.

lester tried to tweek your image, not bad, way better than any of my efforts. keep it up and learn to have a go at manipuating the evidence:lol: . I hope you don't mind but had a slight go with what you posted;)

Guys, we had 35-40% transparency I reckon, due to a total coverage of light cloud. Just to see it on the laptop we had to crank the gain up to 100% & gain to at least 60%......it's a wonder we got anything at all as a final image :)

Thanks for your hospitality last night Lester & Celestine! I had a great time being in your cosy observatory in the company of you, your 14" meade SCT/goliath mount. What a great setup. :thumbsup: Best night I've had in....well since the night before when you came to my place! :D

You da man Asi, the tweeked one is very good after looking at mine. You might have made it tooooo good cause if someone else does a "WORSER" image then they will win the wooden spoon.
