SPX350 F4.53, ATK-16HR, Baader filters, Astrodon Ha.
This is a big galaxy in Centaurus not far from Cent A and part of the same group at 11.7 mil lyrs distance. Quite a few HII regions visible and seems to have a brownish colouration possibly owing to its closeness to the Milkyway.
L=12x10m
RGB=6x5m
Ha=10x10min subs.
Thanks, John.

That's a very good result.
I would hope to do as well one day.

Nice image John! I like the contrast you've brought out in the dark lanes in the galaxy.

Beautiful capture and processing John, you've really brought out those HII regions.
The upper right of the galaxy seems ablaze with HII - if there are any intelligent beings in that area they must be having quite a view :)

Lovely John.
Really like the string of Ha regions top right.
Also notice a faint galaxy on bottom right. Any ideas on what it is?
Malcolm
