View Full Version here: : Last Light - Sunset over the Indian Ocean

It was our first sunset as part of the Kimberley (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/tag/kimberley)tour after flying into Broome in the afternoon. We had enough time to head back to the hotel to drop off our gear, before heading back out to Cable Beach for sunset.
It was my first view of a Sunset over the Indian Ocean – usually I only get to see sunrises over the ocean here on the east coast :)
The colours were beautiful, with just enough cloud and haze to give some colour to the sky.
It was our first time together as a group and noone knew each other. By the end of the two weeks, that had certainly changed – with new and hopefully long-lasting friendships formed.

Awesome Mike!
I worked at The Cable Beach Club for a few years many many sunsets ago. I worked ( amongst other areas) in the bar that directly faces the beach. I fondly remember just polishing glasses and staring out at the sunset, night after night.
Your shot certainly brings back memories!
Top Shot!

When I lived in Perth, I used to drive out to the beach to see sunset. It's interesting that the sunrise colours over the Pacific just aren't the same.
Beaut shots Mike. Thanks for the memories.

'Sigh'... Reminds me of our honeymoon.....
Vivid colour!
Ah, yes nothing like a Sunset over the Ocean, nicely captured Mike.

Nah unfortunately not. I didn't look for it on this occasion. I tried looking for it (and photographing it) at Cape Leveque but didn't see it.
Thanks Al. #2 is more of a 'story one' for the photographers who were there but I thought it made a nice photo anyway. #1 is definitely my fave too :)
Thanks Bart, it's a beautiful resort. We stayed there on the first and last nights of the tour and I sat in the seat of the restaurant that faces directly out to the beach too. What a place.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks Barry, it's certainly different watching the sun go down over the ocean instead of waiting for it to rise :)
Thanks Paddy!
Where did you go Deeno?
Thanks Leon! Much appreciated.
