Hello everyone!

Having been inspired by Peter's recent fantastic image of NGC6334, the Cat's Paw Nebula, I went back to my data to see what I could get out of it in regards to star colour and some other colour besides red.

I've really worked hard at not overdoing the processing, concentrating on colour balance mainly. I'm happier with this version compared to my very red last repro and so thought I'd post it for others to see.

I've also added the link to my AstroBin page as I'm happier with the compression there compared to adding it as an attachment here.

... or lack thereof! :-)
AstroBin won't apply any compression at all to your image. The full size version is copied byte-by-byte, and the scaled versions are only scaled, not compressed.

Nice and crisp, and plenty of detail in the nebula.

Hi Mario,

That is a beautiful photo of the Cats Paw.

Great colour.

I see you are using AstroBin. I tried to use it last night for my shot, but I couldn't get the photo size correct.
Yours looks good.

Thanks.

Ross.

Thanks Louie and Ross for the kind comments. There's quite a few great Cat's Paws on the forum at the moment so it gives me a good yard-stick to measure how I'm progressing with my astrophotography.

Cheers,
Mario
