My first pic :)

Hi all,

Well I thought I'd post my very first pic up to get some feedback... This was done last night around 11.30pm, from my balcony in the suburbs. It's not nearly as nice as some of the others I've seen but it's a start!

With any luck I'll head out towards Toowoomba this weekend and get some better shots.

Feedback and comments/criticism welcome:)

This was done on Celestron 130eq, canon dslr. I was playing around with various camera settings and this was my best shot. Also, I haven't got my remote shutter control yet, so I used the timer function on the camera... it counts down for 5 secs which allows the scope to stop wobbling. I thought that was pretty clever, although I'm sure that's how everyone else does it anyway :lol:

look at that impact crater on the top with the loong splintering surface? what a tremendous force!

We all (including me only a few nights ago) have to start somewhere and start posting images.

Silv is right - its yours.

In my opinion, a remote is the go, especially when you start bulb shots as you have to manually start and stop the shot.

Keep at it.
