Hi,
Here's the last image from monday morning M33.
I find galaxies really difficult to process, this version is the best so far.
Again only 30 minutes of data, restricted by the amount of time from moon set and sunrise.
Anyway, 6 x 5 minute subs, darks flats and bias applied.
Cheers,
Justin.

Hi Justin
Another great effort on what I found to be, a difficult galaxy.
I like it, too :)
I haven't done anything like this, yet.
But I enjoyed reading Ivo's posts in this thread, (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=880427#post880427) today.
he writes about processing images with certain flaws and illustrates that showing the raw data and the astonishing outcome after processing.

A great photo Justin.
I think this is my favourite of all your recent photos.

It's a nice result & sounds like no one could get it much better
with extra processing.
Well done.

Thanks all for the comments!
Thanks Ross,
Funny it's one of my least favourite, guess we all have different tastes.
Thanks for the link Silv!

Justin.

Thanks Dave,
Yes getting as many as I can to practise on. Once I've determined which are best for my setup I'll take more subs and get serious.
Thanks Ken,
I'm amazed what can come of 30 minutes of data, it seems to be a good yard stick for whats best for my setup.
Cheers,
Justin.

Looks like you're pretty serious now Justin. Very nice result for such a short exposure. There's already a hint of the pinkish H II regions in the arms.

Thanks Graeme!
Would be nice to have a modified camera sometimes to bring out these area's.
Cheers,
Justin.

For just 30 minutes of data I think you can be justly proud of that Justin. It must be pretty low for you too which wouldn't make it easy.

Justin
I agree with Steve here, that is a fine effort for just 30 minutes of data.
Check your levels though, you will probably find your red is a little low.
cheers

You have been producing some very good images Justin
Once you are happy with your setup get as much data as you can and the result will be great

Thanks Richard!
Yep your right, I'll be doing a few more DSO's at half to one hour just to check the potential for my setup. Then pick the most suitable and bump to 3 hours.
Cheers,
Justin.
