Tinkering with the above data, I noticed CS6.0 will export to Zoomify (its a flash plug-in, so probably won't work on an Ipad)

As usual like all your other solar work - uber cool. What are your imaging plans for this eclipse? Going close up in Ha, CaK? Widefield with nice scenery? I know you've already done the whole corona in Lybia and it was very high in the sky, hard to beat. This one is going to be challenging and low to the horizon.

Thanks Marc. Port Douglas for me will primairly be a holiday! Scuba-Diving on the reef, eat, drink, be merry! :)

If it's clear on eclipse morning I'm pretty sure I'll be using a 500mm F4 Canon lens on a 5DMkIII.

Not tempted to go very narrow, as the corona is the main show IMHO.

The game-changer for me is Losmandy's StarLapse..which means I can use heavy cameras and lenses but not have to cart half a tonne of gear across the country. My Lybia rig did not track. The Port Douglas one will have: lower noise, better res, and will track...so all things being equal, should deliver sharper results.

Good to know. I'm hoping to get a Polarie soon so I can do minimal tracking. After carefull consideration I'll be heading a bit off the main axis and try to capture the light cone and maybe do a widefield pic of the totality with a few stars and planets along the ecliptic. But mostly I want to enjoy the show visually as it's my first one.

LIke the idea of zoomify but this inverted stuff (which has been around quite a lot in recent years) is not my cup of tea. Zoomify on your standard Ha images will look spectacular.
