You will get some classics with that set up - need a touch of practice, good conditions and lots of love! On, the Sun will need to put on a show too!

Not bad.

But sorry, I'm not going to be your Mum and say "that's nice dear".

I think your gear should be capable of showing much more.

I'd work on getting a larger tonal scale. (looks posterised to me), plus a tad more resolution.

I am all ears and very glad your not my mum:eyepop::P
So to get resolution?

Peter Ward

Easy...try more focal length. ;)

Getting there Dave! I think it's the processing that's holding you back now - looks like you're capturing good data!

ok i will bight - what barlow to use Mr Ward? I remember Paul talking about a luminera 2 camera would that be better than the dmk41

Try a 2x barlow. That will get you started. 3x for really steady mornings. 2x is what I use most days.

Your solar imaging is coming along Houghy.
Sorry to highjack I'm going to buy a solar telescope for imaging should I go Lunt or Meade?

How long is a piece of string? :)

I use either a Baader FFC or AP2" Barcon, but there are many other solutions out there. I've had absolutely no problems with my Luminera 2-2.

While the large chip size slows down the capture rate to about 12fps. the resulting wide field helps quite a bit for mosaics.

I use a Coronado/Meade Etalon Pair, which I only keep using as it lets me use different telescopes but for a dedicated H-alpha rig, the Lunt PT 80mm is the best bang for buck IMHO at present.

Looking good Dave. I like the repro better.
