Hi,
Couldn't wait for later in the season to capture this one. I was fortunate to have some clear skies with the moon set just after 4 am today, lucky I have a few days off from work.
I'm quite happy with my first attempt, this is only 30 minutes of data - ISO 800 - 5 minute subs. Dark, flats and bias applied.
Cheers,
Justin.

You're well ahead of the curve, Justin :) Nice for only 30 mins of data!

Rick.

A very nice beginning Justin. You will need more data to lift the horse head from the rest of the dark nebulosity, but it's a great start.

Thanks Allan!
I'm looking forward to having more than a few moon and cloud free hours to spend on this one.
:rofl::rofl:Thanks Mike!
Thanks Rick!
Yes, nver would have thought I'd get this much in 30 minutes.

Justin.

Yep,you don't sleep!you should do well when you get more exposure in, but for such low exposure time you've done well.

Great capture Justin.
One of my favourite objects. It looks great.
....how many trees did you chop down to see the horizon!...

Thanks Ross,
No tree's to the east fortunately, about 10 degrees of hill though!
Cheers,
Justin.
