This is an attempt at a more arty style. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but comment/critique would be nice.
Fujifilm X Pro1, 53mm equivalent, Aperture priority f/4.0 ISO200.

Hi Rowland :)
You're starting to get into "street", aren't you! The Fuji's are purpose-built for just what you're doing.
I really like the first and last images. I had a hankering for negative imagery for a while earlier this year, and I still like to re-visit from time to time. I think that in some cases it's entirely legitimate, as your first image shows here.

Thanks Chris. Yes, I like the 'Street' thing. I've been reading about the life and times of Henri Cartier-Bresson and like the idea of a single lens for the time being.
I've also picked up Digital Photography Step by Step by Tom Ang, which is helping me get to grips with the very basics of perspective and composition.
The desaturated negative thing is a hard one. It has its place and shouldn't be overdone. I find it works well for making line drawings.

LOL... I've taken his advice on many occasions, and actually find I'm sticking to it these days. Today I went out with my OM-D and stuck to the brank-spankin' 75mm f/1.8 Oly lens - an absolute cracker. 310 shots and not a single lens swap. Loved it - had a ball.
