Here's a shot of the Moon tonight at First Quarter. Single frame, Canon EOS 600D, 1/125th sec, ISO 200, SkyWatcher 12" Goto Dobsonian.

The shadows of the crater peaks in that photo are just wonderful.
It has reminded me again that it is worth going back and observing the moon again.

Peter and Shah the long shadows were the first things I noticed about the Moon when I looked at it. Here are some oblique views of the area using LTVT and Lunar terrain elevation information from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.
