Tower Bridge

A recent pic cruising up the Thames, a bit of old and new on a pretty dreary day but exiting for my wife and I none the less for us colonials.

Is that the Shard tower in the background? It is conspicuous to say the least. It reminds me of the Ministry of Love in Orwell's book 1984. It also looks a bit like the Ryugyong hotel in Pyongyang, North Korea.

Great shot but gawd what did they do to that poor bridge. What's with the blue makeover on the trims and cables. I know it's the olympics but c'mon :lol: :shrug:
