View Full Version here: : Jupiter, 19th July
Hi all, finally some clear sky and reasonable seeing - the ambient temp was about -4.5C when this image was captured, not too bad for an altitude of 25 degrees, but still some jetstream blurring is evident.
Jupiter sure looks different this time around!

Not bad Anthony. I take it this is with the dispersion corrector?
I was looking at Chris Go's images last night and he has clearly had some very good seeing in the last week or so. Fantastic data already.

Nice work Anthony, love the colours on this one.
Certainly was a cold morning all round.

Nice work there Bird, -4.5 makes my temp out here this morning of 2.5 seem tropical.

that is an excellent result for the altitude - going to be hard work this apparition. regards Ray

Thanks for the view Anthony. The different banding is very interesting.

Nice result Anthony :)
Thanks all, yes it's likely to be hard work this year and next, but I guess it's good practice (or something).

Hello Anthony A good result considering the difficulties of the moment to get good images of Jupiter, by my side in Italy the situation is still a disaster with a jet stream at 47 m / s
To the next picture
Clear Skies

Alessio, we have the same thing here, trust me - this last two morning I have only been able to see the two main belts on Jupiter, no other details were visible!
cheers, Bird
