Trying to determine the difference in real terms between these two has been hard. Searching on this you find so many different ideas and conflicting opinions it's doing my head in. If anyone knows, in simple terms the difference between the two and how they would relate to an unmodded 600D for example, a modded 600D and how it would effect a 60Da. Granted I might just get more different answers like how it seems when you search on this subject but I'm betting (and hoping) one of you knows a lot about this ;)

Drop some knowledge on me!

The main difference between the CLS and CLS-CCD (Assuming you are talking astronomik here) is that the CLS-CCD version also includes an IR blocking layer on the filter cutting off light beyond 700nm

On an unmodded camera, you wont see much difference between the two. However on a modified camera, the CLS-CCD will block out the IR that is blocked in the unmodded camera.

 Nick.
I will add that for a modded 600D I believe you would likely want a CLS-CCD because, depending on your optics, the IR will focus at a different point and thus possibly create halo's.
The 60Da retains the IR cut filter so the CLS will be fine.
