Bright aurora over southern NZ tonight.

I'm at -44°, and 58 km SSW of Mt. John.

I don't think I've ever seen it quite this bright before.

Just returned from the Port Hills outside Christchurch, really great view from there and the first ever Aurora for me.

The first few files were captured 5 and 10 minutes apart, unfortunately, but the vast majority were 1 minute duration, and captured the most intense action. The first image is 18:40 15/07/2012, and the last is 01:00 16/07/2012, when the activity had essentially ended.
