I thought this might be of some interest here. Sure it's an ad but it is rather inspiring.

Lots of fun, and inspiring
Dropping your coffee cup on the glass table top might be bad.
I wonder if we have enough rare earth elements to make all these displays

Aah Peter,:)

The coffee cup will break before the glass panel does. Very strong tempered glass not plate glass. Its 4 times stronger and the thickness adds more strength.

Cheers:)

Ah, technology - can't live without it.
But,
Alarm goes off at 0659, at 0710 he is shaved showered, dressed and making breakfast. 0720 she is showered, dressed, hair and makeup perfect and leaving the house. Kids are up at 0710 already dressed and ready for school.

Forget technology, I want to live in a house that does that!

The touchscreen aspect of this video was all faked, but is actually BEHIND the times.

Our company sells (and I am the comissioning/support engineer for) Perceptive Pixel multitouch displays. I get to use these all day at work, currently a 27 inch (nice but a bit small) and an 82 inch.

You've probably seen them being used on CSI and NCIS.

These use Corning Gorilla Glass on the face of the touch panels as per the video.

Hi All,

Super impressive but after watching the way people interact with their devices etc both in public and at home, the first thing I want to do is buy shares in S.C Johnson & Co (they make Windex).

Best,

Alot of the stuff in that video is real already we just don't have access to it yet won't be long till it starts being very common
