Is visible naked eye, through safety specs ofcourse.looks absolutely amazing.Have a look before sunset.
Enjoy the view.
Ps- would anyone know the size of this sunspot compared to earth .Im guessing severak times the aize of jupiter.

Just bought a new Solar Filter.
Flash ..!!! :(
It has been quoted that it's 127,000km from each end which is about 10 Earths so that's pretty big.
Also yesterday it chucked an X class flare directly at us so for those of you lucky enough then be on the look out for Aurora on the 14th.

yeah i saw it yesterday. I managed to take a movie clip of it although the cloud kept passing. There might be some usable frames in there. It is a great sight to see. Massive.:eyepop:

I wonder how far up people will be able to see auroras.
Steve, you should post some pics, given your plane transit photo I am sure they would be amazing.
