We went on a picnic the other day when we had an unexpected guest.
Couldn't believe how bold this little guy was. He seemed quite happy to perch with us while we had our lunch.
More than one occasion I looked down to see him within a foot of me while I sat on the grass. He would sometimes have an insect in his mouth so, I don't think he was interested in our lunch....
Can anyone identify him?
Cheers

Southern Yellow Robin:question: possibly Yep confirmed here is a link to him except it is an Eastern Yellow Robin

totally cute face expressions you captured!
I think it could be a cousin of Hans Lemonbelly, 312 Treebranch, Forest Near the River.

Beautiful bird. Splendid photos first and last!
Hi Deeno,
Beware. Behind that cheeky demeanor and those cute dark eyes lays a creature
that can become hell-bent on torturing you to death. If you thought a newborn baby could
do a pretty good job depriving you of your sleep, then this guy is an expert in the
art of sleep deprivation worthy of Dungeon Keeper's Magazine Torturer of the Week
An anecdote I posted here.
