Hey guys, been quite a while since I've posted on here, but I'm back
Looking at buying a new scope, specifically a takahashi that marrys well with the sbig stt.
Also would like it to sit on top of an eq6 with the Orion autoguider.

My question is, what is the difference between the TOA-130NS and the TOA-130NFB?
How does the NS compare to the FSQ-106?
With the 25kg weight limit and the 12 odd kgs of the NS, will I be overworking the mount for astrophotography?
Cannot find a comparison on these two scopes anywhere.

I eventually want to upgrade my mount but not for a year or two.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys

I have owned a Tak FSQ-106 imaging rig, nothing compares in my view, just awesome stuff.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I Think im going to stick with the FSQ106 as it seems like a brilliant telescope.
Still a little confused as to why a bigger focuser can increase the cost by over one thousand dollars though?
Maybe eventually ill upgrade to a larger refractor... or even a RCOS or something :P

Another data point from a happy FSQ106 customer! Perfectly flat across a full frame dslr in my direct experience, but apparently also flat across the 16803 chips and even 120 roll film cameras. For the other arm and leg you can have the various focal reducers and extenders to make it even more versatile. Mount in the eq6 class will comfortably handle it, but it's surprisingly big and heavy for a short 4".
cheers,
Andrew.
