After a quick search found not much, can any one point me in the direction on a book, web sites about optics? I don't know much about the optical bits of scopes so thought it was about time I learnt a few things. This is probably a big field I'm thinking so thanks in advance.

Thanks Simon, Clive and Joshua just what I was looking for specially the optics net link...great and DIY Newt books...hhmmmm got me thinking long term!
