USB driver for SBIG STF-8300- problem

Hi I recently got my new STF-8300, but I'm having some problems with getting the usb drivers installed. I'm using Windows 7 x64 and followed the instructions in the manual to the letter. I have also tried installing it on win7 x32 and winxp x32 platforms without any luck :(.

What I have been doing this:

-install ccdops5
-installed sbigdriverchecker64.exe (as administrator)
-run driverchecker64 (as administrator)
-updated the drivers
-I power up the camera (the camera fan starts)
-I plug the camera to the usb port. (windows starts installing the device, and after spinning a bit it says "unable to install the device...."

Has anyone got an idea of what can be wrong? My best guess is that it is the wrong drivers that are installed.

Pm sendt, still if there is anyone who as got this camera I would like to know how they installed the drivers!

Problem solved, SBIG provided me with a solution to connect to the camera and upgrade the firmware. If someone else has the same problem, this is the info I got from SBIG.

The camera has either lost its programming or has had a hardware failure.
Lets check programming as this can be corrected in the field.
Connect the camera and open Windows Device Manager.
Right click on the Unknown Device to open the Properties window.
Select the Details tab.
Select Hardware ID from the dropdown menu.
There should be a USB vid and pid data. If there are numbers here you can reprogram, if zeros the camera will need to be sent to SBIG for warranty repair.

Programming instructions.
Unzip the attached folder.
Connect the camera and open Windows Device Manager.
Rt click the Unknown device and select Update Driver.
Select Install from a list (Advanced)
Next
Select Search for the best driver in these locations.
Check Include this location in the search.
Click browse and navigate to the unzipped folder Fx2 No EEPROM Driver and finally select your Windows OS (64 bit)
OK
Run the STX Utility
Select your camera from the dropdown (STF-8300)
Click Discover
Click Program EzUSB
Reboot
Status should show numbers

Connect to CCDOPS and try a test image.
